• Cassandra's Birthday Party and My Love for the Medicine Seller

  Seldom do I get invited to parties (because I'm a geek), but whenever I do, they're hella fun.
  
  The lovely Cassandra invited me to her birthday yesterday and it was a blast!
  
  Rose, Raena, the twins, two hawt girls, this guy, Lauren, Cassandra, Sophie, Tariq, Melan, Tim (I hate that guy with the intensity of a thousand suns) and I.
  
  There was Sweeney Todd, talking, pizza, Guitar Hero 3, more talking, spooning with Cassandra, Cassandra opening presents, cake, licking cake frosting of Cassandra's nose after she got cake'd (she thought it was hot LOL), spooning with Rose (She's a good spoon, she's officially my cuddle-buddy), concentration, would you rather, listening to music, playing more Guitar Hero 3, more talking and spooning with Rose some more before I left.
  
  I came back at 1 in the MORNING. Oh my god!
  
  I just feel glad I went. Honestly, I was a little iffy about going because Cassandra kinda...smokes pot, and I wasn't sure it was going to be a clean party. Thankfully, it was. I don't like it when her boyfriend came over. It was gross watching them...
  
  Just..no offense, but they're the least attractive couple I've ever seen. Even though Cassandra is lovely, but her boyfriend...he's usually high..a lot..
  
  Also, I don't like Tim that much either, he can never shut up. Like, I'm playing Guitar Hero against him, and while I'm trying to concentrate on the song, he's just blabbing away.
  
  He's well aware that he annoys me, but why does he keep DOING IT?
  
  The rest was fun though, especially watching Melan dance. Going to that party made me learn a lot about Melan. I'm invited to her Halloween/ Birthday Party, but I never knew her that well. Regardless, today, I've gotten to know her better. I also learned, that she's black.

  I'm racially blind, I once forgot my friend Jade Yong was Asian. *fail*
  
  It happened when Cassandra was reading her Birthday cards aloud, and there was one from Melan. Once we clapped at it, she went, "Wait! There's more!"
  
  The card said: "P.S: I'm black."
  
  We cracked up. Apparently, Melan is JUST figuring that out also. LOL She's the most interesting girl ever, when Tariq (cute, short, bisexual boy) was playing dance music, Raena, Melan and I started dancing. I swear, everyone kept their eyes on Melan. She was a terrible dancer, but it was HILARIOUS. She was going these weird movements, flailing her arms ever-which-way and it was just hilarious.
  
  I SO wanna go to her party now.
  
  Btw, Cassandra has a pet rat. It was around the beginning of the party when I found out. I was sittin' on her chair, watching Tariq play the Nightmare Before Christmas video game when people kept dissappearing into the kitchen one-by-one.
  
  At first, I thought it was silly, girl-talk until Aracely (one of the twins) went inside and never came out.  It wasn't until Sophie came out and I asked, "What's going on in there?"
  
  When she told me it was Cassandra's pet rat, I DASHED in there. I love animals, don't cha know?
  
  People were taking turns holding it, and when it got to me, I was petting it, and squealing. At one point I felt something warm on the hand that I held him with. I looked to expect a tiny little foot:
  
  "Aww...what's this on my hand there? ...Oh....he pooped on me.."
  
  I have shitty luck with mammials. I'm a reptile kind of girl xD.
  
  But yeah, I loved going to Cassandra's spooning with Rose, and everything. It was a blast.
  
  When the Twin's mom was giving me a ride mom, I found out that their mom had a facebook. LOL.
  
  I can now proudly say: "I Facebook'd your mom."

  Everyone reading this is well-aware of my geekiness to a certain extent. However, I fallen in love with this series.
  
  I've already watched Ayakashi: Yotsuya Kaidan. But it wasn't until recently did I learn about Ayakashi: Bakeneko. I've watched it, and the animation! The art! I shat BRICKS. It was animated by the same people who did Gankutsuou.

  Isn't it great? I just fell in love with the style once I saw Ayakashi: Bakeneko:
  
  
  
  
  Now, Ayakashi is a show that's for classic Japanese horror. So, Bakeneko (Ghost Cat), naturally freaked me out a little.
  
  I fell in love with the show, sadly it only lasted 4 episodes. Although, eventually I learned that Bakeneko was such a success, that it got it's own spin-off called: Mononoke (spirit). With the same character from Bakeneko:
  
  
  
  Ain't he dreamy? Totally kidding, but honestly, he's SO AWESOME. He might even surpass Count D in awesomeness. Anyway, after watching all four episodes of Ayakashi: Bakeneko and all 12 episodes of Mononoke, the main character still remains mysterious and nameless. He goes around merely saying he's nothing but a medicine-seller (kusuriuri). However, the story of his adventures takes place in the Edo period (1600's-late 1800's) of Japan. Which is why you see the animation style trying to mimic the art-style of that period.
  
  Back then, there was a cast system with Samurai at the top and merchants at the bottom. Only those at the top of the cast system were allowed to have swords. However, many find it strange that this mysterious merchant would have one in his possession. His sword however, is used to fight spirits, and can only be unsheathed once he learns the form (katachi), truth (makoto), and regret (kotowari) of the spirit.
  
  The series is SO GOOD, I bought the DVD of Ayakashi: Bakeneko eventhough I already WATCHED it illegally.
  
  I must cosplay as kusuriuri-san. It's official. I've fallen too deep into this series to go back now. I must spread the word of Mononoke to everyone!
  
  If you're an anime fan, take the time to look up series that aren't mainstream. They're pretty good. Especially Mononoke.
